I hemmed and hawed over white booties for a good year before I took the plunge. I wavered between the disparate reasoning that either they were too much of a statement, or that they didn’t fill any gap in my wardrobe that couldn’t also be served by a solid pair of black booties – something I already owned.

This October these Jeffrey Campbell kitten heel lovelies went on sale and I took the plunge. Within a week, I’d worn them three times. It’s the low heel that makes them so versatile: with a crisp blouse and jeans for work, a tee and camo jacket to the grocery store, or with a lace top and leather jacket for an evening out. And the clincher: they’re patent, so I can wear them even in less-than-perfect weather and just wipe them clean at the end of the day.

Don't see your size? The Stuart Weitzman booties that sparked my obsession are on sale, and these Sam Edelmans are also a solid purchase.
